My little pumpkin
On Sunday we decided to go to the pumkin patch! We took a hayride back to pick the perfect pumpkin. Dayton ran (mostly fell) all around unitll we found the perfect one.

Dayton's First Birthday!!!!!
I can't even beleive that it has been one year! It's amazing to me how many changes happen in one year!

These days Dayton is walking and talking! I love sitting and watching him play. Seeing the wheels in his head turn as he figures out how to put the blocks in the the slot or as he flips through his books jabbering as if he was reading. He does however love boxes and laundry baskets:)
We had a construction buddies party with family and he loved the cake!!!
You were the best birthday present I could have ever askeed for. I love you Dayton Michael:)

Welcome
I was blessed yet again to witness the birth of my new niece Laine Ashlynn Zimmerman. She is 6 pounds 13oz and 20 inches long. Cute as a button! I will have pictures a little later.

It's been a......
Long time! Sorry. Life has been crazy! We have moved and been in our home for a month.....I think. Every spare second has been un packing, decorating, trying to get organized. It seems to be going well. I finally feel like we are in OUR home. I'm the kind of person who wants to have everything done NOW, so I have been working on my patience:)
Going back a bit to Vacation! We drove down to Washington DC and then to VA beach. We stayed in DC with some family friends for two nights. We spent one day walking around DC checking out all the museums and monuments. It was a lot of walking, but there is something about seeing everything up close that is so amazing!
From DC we drove down to VA beach! The trafic was horrible! It's only 4 hours away and it took six! Good thing we went around nap time! We rented a condo a block of the beach. We got to spend time with my sister Lesli and her family, I miss her so MUCH! We only get to see each other one or two times a year:( We all played at the pool and went to the beach. Unfortunately Dayton liked to eat sand so we didn't get to stay long.
We decided to leave early to get back for the big move and to avoid trafic. When we got half way we decided to stop but when we tried to find a hotlel they were all booked! There was a motercycle convention going on and they had all the hotels full until Ohio, so we went all the way! I will never drive that again, I say that every time and yet still did it. I had such a good time being with family:)
Ok back to the present time. My baby is turning one in less then two weeks. I cant even beleive it! I am havimg so much fun watching him grow! He is walking now. Every day he gets better and better. He enjoys playing and getting into everything! I love seeing his smiling face every morning! I just can't beleive how much he has changed in one year:)
I promise next time wont be so long:)

Changes
The last few weeks have been crazy! We decided to sell our house but never thought it would go so fast! We have been searching for a new home with room to grow! We found the perfect house so cross your fingers! To make things more complicated we are leaving for vacation on June 18 and coming home 2 days before closing! I hope to be all packed up before then. I have never moved so this will be an experience, hopefully a good one.
In the last few weeks Dayton has gone CRAZY! It's only a matter of weeks and I think he will be running around the house. Just the other day the climbed all the way up Nana's steps. I can't believe he is almost One!

Surprise!
Every morning I wake up to the normal chatter,I let him play around and then peek in to see what he is doing. This morning was different. I opened the door to a tiny face staring back at me with a huge smile, as he was grinding his one tooth on the side of his crib! I wasn't aware that he could pull himself up and for that matter stay up! I had flashbacks of the teeth marks on my parents bed:) Later today we will be lowering his crib down so the next time we don't find him on the floor.
